Best Real Estate Site: New Category in 2002
Homebuyers increasingly use the Internet to research current home listings and investigate the homebuying process and Realtors have met the need with innovative and informative sites used to sell homes. First Place
Site name: Designed by: Owned by:

www.ebrownassociates.com

Leading Edge Media, Inc. D.P. Brown & Associates
Comments: This site is visually appealing. Navigation is handled two ways: via a left-side tool bar, and then properties may be searched via the attractive image links. There is an abundance of information and the site is easy to navigate and is fully functional. A truly stand-out design and good incorporated content made this the clear selection.
Second Place
Site name: Designed by: Owned by:

First Place
Site name: Designed by: Owned by:

manorongoldenpond.com

Glen Group, Inc. Manor on Golden Pond
Comments: A classy presentation to match what looks like a classy place. All I could want to know about the manor is in this site, from current room availability -- a great time-saving feature -- to an inside look at each room. The site moves smoothly to the touch, with a simple, but complete, navigation bar at the top of each screen, attractive design with pretty pictures that also loads quickly onto the screen, and all obvious questions answered. And the touch of gold in the color scheme plays off the name. But its the little extras make it, from recipes to the e-mail alerts and updated note from the innkeepers. The personal touch is evident, with family photos and messages and no sense of snobbishness. I'd go!
Second Place
Site name: Designed by: Owned by:

snowyowlinn.com

Snowy Owl Inn Snowy Owl Inn
Comments: There's a homey touch to the Snowy Owl site, with a casual type face and design that appears to suit its own interior design and approach. Yet, it takes advantage of high-tech with its options for virtual tours of its lobbies and rooms, a printable brochure and smartly-placed hypertext links in descriptive text that increases your chances of finding related content.
Third Place
Site name: Designed by: Owned by:

nhcampgrounds.com

Shaughnessy Web Design, LLC Goose Hollow Camp & RV Park
Comments: Well, this resort says its philosophy is to be nice. And you get that sense as you move through its friendly site, which has quick, easy navigation -- even the rippling water on the home page does not slow load time-- a soft color palette and useful information. But the kicker is the enhanced story of the campground, with its iconic illustrations built into the text. Fun!
